Challenge #151: You Oughtta Be In Pictures

Electra here.  It's time to go to the movies!  When I was a little girl, we would go to visit my grandparents in a teeny little town in Saskatchewan (yes, I spelled that correctly) and a real treat was to go to "Town"  (ie.  not where we were) to watch a moving picture.
Yes, they did have sound in the movies by then.
So I thought we could create something that has something to do with our favorite movie, or a movie we liked, or a picture or something moving, or even a movie you hated.  We would never know.
You know how we are here.
Have you seen Alice In Wonderland? Wasn't it great?  Actually my favorite movie is really The Despicables, but I couldn't figure out a way to make something about that.
So Alice in Wonderland it is.

Let's see what the other Poobahs have been watching.

Rosemary here and I love the movies!  Mostly the classics but I am inspired by a modern one, Amelie.  French, quirky and romantic, the kind of movie you can see many times and fall in love  with it all over again.   I wanted my card to reflect some of the film's charm. I apologize for the quality of the photo, I lack a computer and am McGuyvering my photo from phone to tablet- no photo editing.

Deena

I have had this Marilyn stamp for quite a while now and not had an opportunity to use it...but I thought it was so cute that I had to get it anyway, so today was the perfect opportunity to dip her in some ink!

You have until the end of Saturday, March 10th to join in with your fabulous creation celebrating The Movies. Please add a link to your project below.
If you would like to join in with a previous challenge we've set (life happens and lateness is absolutely fine, we don't mind a bit) just add your blog post address in your comment. Please make sure your comment and blog post refer to the previous challenge you are entering so we don't get confused.
We look forward to visiting you!

Challenge #150 Operation Charity Card

Jana here and this time around I am challenging you to do good. I would like for you to create cards for a charity. It doesn't matter what the charity. Just make cards for someone who can use a smile or an encouraging word or two.

I made cards for OPERATION WRITE HOME. It's an American organization that collects handmade cards to send to the troops overseas so THEY can send cards home to their loved ones. I've made cards for them in the past, and it's high time I sent them some more. I made some "Thinking of You" type cards, and some Birthday cards.

I hope you'll play along with us this go 'round and spread some love and cheer.

Let's see what the other wonderful Poobahs have come up with.

Electra  here Well, my card is a pretty simple card, made for someone at the Not-For-Profit agency where I work.  It had to be manly (cus it is for a man) and I took it in yesterday, so folks could sign it.  I was really surprised that everyone commented on how great it is!  I guess you never know.

Deena here - I donate a stack of cards every year for a fundraiser at work to raise money for the local Children's hospital or the United Way.  I will add this one to the pile cuz I like the way it turned out ;)

Rosemary  here and I am going to create for Operation Write Home .  Operation Write Home not only collects Hero Mail that allows us to thank those who protect us, but also to provide cards to our heroes that they can use for their families and loved ones.

I went out of my comfort zone and created what I think count as clean and simple cards that I hope came out looking elegant, that's kind of what I was attempting and making them more appealing to both sexes.

You have until the end of Saturday 23 February to join in with your fabulous creation by making a card for a charity. Add your blog post address to Mr Linky below.
